About Us

The East Greenwich-Cowesett Neighbors Club aims to foster a sense of community and build social ties among residents of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and the Cowesett neighborhood of nearby Warwick, Rhode Island. The non-profit social club was founded in 1974 under the name East Greenwich-Cowesett New Neighbors Club with a mission of welcoming new members of the community. In recent years, we have expanded our membership to include both new and longtime residents who are interested in making friends and meeting new people.

MEETINGS & Activities

We hold several club-wide events each year (a fall family picnic, a winter holiday dinner, etc.). Additionally, most members belong to one or more of our activity groups, which meet on a weekly or monthly basis. These groups include a playgroup for parents of young children, several book clubs, a walking group, dinner and lunch clubs, and interest groups for photographers, board game players, wine enthusiasts, and more. Our activity groups change with the interests of of our members, and we are always open to new ideas.

Policies

The East Greenwich-Cowesett Neighbors Club is strictly a social club. While we often plan or participate in community service projects, we do not hold fundraisers for outside groups. We also urge our members not use the club to promote their business or services. Members may not use contact information from the membership directory for business or selling purposes.
